My cousin just got back from nine months in Uruguay, and brought back this awesome thing called yerba mate (pronounced matt-ay), which is like the most caffeinated stimulant ever, and is sort of amazingly awesome, despite smelling sort of like hay. You have to drink it out of these gourd things with this special slotted metal straw. It’s quite an experience. I would recommend it to almost anyone, except for people I didn’t like.
